Get your boots out and ready. The Symposium for Higher Education Marketing is making its way to Austin, TX from November 10-14!

I personally couldn’t be more excited to talk all things marketing in such an eclectic city. Austin is known for many things. It’s nicknamed the Silicon Hills, brand/tag is “Keep Austin Weird,” and it’s home of the one of a kind SXSW.

So what’s new (besides location) for AMA 2014? A whole new track on Marketing Intelligence!

Why is this track so relevant and important in Higher Education Marketing?

“According to some data experts, 90 percent of the data that exists in the world today was created in the last two years.” – Science Daily

“Over 11,000 people have passed the Google Analytics Individual Certification since 2009.” – Wes Cooling, Converge Consulting

“This explosion of big data impacts every part of the global economy, and the demand for business analytics specialists is expected to reach 1.5 million jobs by 2018.” – U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

We are looking for innovative, creative, realistic and interesting stories to be told through presentation in the Marketing Intelligence track.

From Google Analytics to Big Data, marketers have never been more accountable for assessment of market opportunity and measurement of marketing activity. Proposals should cover the innovative ways in which you are using data, intelligence, and research to determine who your key audiences are, the best ways to reach them, and the results of those activities.

This new track at AMA Higher Education covers:

  • Market opportunity
  • Web analytics
  • Data mining
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Dashboards
  • Research
  • Measurement and more!

Do you know a colleague who is doing a fabulous job in these areas?

Do you have a best practice to share?

Have a new measurement model that is providing actionable and insightful reports?

If any of these areas sound interesting and relevant to you, send me an email orsubmit a presentation to the AMA Higher Education Symposium 2014! We need your help to make this brand new track a huge success in Austin!
