4 Tips for Producing Consistently Good Content
You know that feeling you get when you post a really, really good piece of content? Something you’re really proud of and can’t wait to share on social media?
If you know that feeling, you might also know the opposite feeling. The “ugh, I just need to get this done and I hope no one sees it” content on your site. We’ve all been there. The hard part is figuring out how to make more of the good. Here are some tips that work for us.
Having ideas is great. Ideas are important, but so are strategy and execution. Generating quality content requires time, planning and development. From printed content calendars to Google alerts and digital scheduling – do whatever you need to do to get your content planned, organized and created in a timely manner.
Even the most experienced writers are not immune to typos. I cannot emphasize the importance of proofreading enough. Quantity is great and important in its own way, but quality is how you engage your readers and keep them coming back for more.Interesting, concise and error-free content should always be your goal.
When it comes to writing for the web, copywriting just isn’t enough anymore. You are a writer, yes, but you are also a proofreader, a line editor and a visual designer.
